Butterfly Service ATW
Butterfly-Service ATW is a little sailmakery situated at 3 min. walk from the "Marina La Gomera" in the old part of the town of San Sebastian de la Gomera, the capital of one of the 7 Canary Islands, La Gomera.
Butterfly-Service ATW exists since 6 years and its runned by Thomas Studer, an activ International Moth Sailor in the early 80’s and who, also has a 20 years crusing experience on his own Schooner "Butterfly". He speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
Sailmaking
Sail-repairs: We do all kinds of repairs and overhauls on your existing sails. We are equipped with the biggest industrial sail sewing machine (ADLER 366), a 30t press and a large stock of sailmaker hardwear.
New sails: Working very close with a big Sailmakery in Hong Kong ("Lee Sails") allows us to offer you highly costumized sails which are perfectly adapted to your sailing needs, but still for a very competitive prices. We designed sails for boats from 6m to 24m and we, also, have equipped boats that sail to the Antarctica, Cape Horne and NW-Passage.
Canvas
We are equipped and able to offer you everykind of
costumized canvas work, like:
- Sprayhoods
- Biminis
- Dodgers
- Dun covers (covers of every kind and for everything)
- Cockpit cushions
- Lazybags
- Mainsailcovers
- UV-strips on Genoas etc.
We also repair and overhaul all your existing canvas items.
Rigging
We are exclusive repesentans in the Canary Islands for Selden Masts, Sweden, and we are using their machins to press any kind of wire terminal from 2mm up to 16mm, inclusive Rod and Dyform. We also have in stock a big range of rollerfurling systems as Furlex and Profurl. We directly import from Selden, Swedwn and Wichard, France.
We can install for you every kind of Genoa Furling system, cutter stay, running back stays, new shrouds etc.
Shipshandler
Our store has a wide range of sheets, halyards, ropes and mooring lines (Lancelin, France) rigging hardwear, blocks, shackles, bilge pumps, fenders, flags. Everything we don’t have in stock, it can be ordered and delivered in 24h to 48h.
